What to Expect During
Your MRI

An MRI scan uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to produce highly detailed images of the body. The procedure is non-invasive and does not use ionising radiation.

During your scan, you will be asked to lie still on a comfortable scanning table while images are taken. Some scans may require contrast, which will be explained to you prior to your appointment.

If you have any concerns or specific requirements, our team is here to guide you through the process.

Billing & Medicare

We bulk bill most MRI services where eligible under Medicare.

However, some MRI scans may incur an out-of-pocket cost depending on the type of scan and Medicare criteria.

We recommend contacting our team prior to your appointment to confirm eligibility and any potential fees.
