What to Expect
Please arrive 10 minutes early for your appintment
You may be asked to complete a short patient form on arrival
Our reception team will confirm any Medicare or billing details
You’ll be guided through the scan by an experienced radiographer or sonographer
Radiologists aim to have cases reported within 48 hours and all urgent cases within 24.
If you have any concerns before your appointment, feel free to contact us.
Preparation Instructions
Some scans require preparation, such as fasting or having a full bladder. Our team will let you know what’s needed when you book.

Billing & Medicare
We bulk bill most services at Gippsland Lakes Medical
Imaging, including many X-rays, CT scans and general
ultrasound procedures.

However, some scans may not be eligible for bulk billing, depending on the type of procedure and Medicare guidelines.

We recommend contacting our team to confirm if your scan will be bulk billed or if any out-of-pocket costs apply.

Need to Book an Appointment?
If you’ve received a referral, you can book online or call us directly. We also accept walk-ins for most general X-rays.
