At Gippsland Lakes Medical Imaging (GLMI), we’re proud to deliver high-quality

Locally owned and operated, GLMI has been part of the East Gippsland healthcare community since 2012. From
our beginnings as a small ultrasound practice, we’ve grown into a leading independent imaging provider with
purpose-built facilities, advanced technology, and a team who genuinely care.

Our Story

From local roots to regional radiology leader

GLMI was founded by two sonographers, Pinkie Elifas and Dayna Dwyer, who shared a vision: to create a high-quality imaging service that
prioritised not just accuracy, but also the experience of each patient.

What started as a single ultrasound room has expanded into a multi-site network in Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance, offering a wide range of
diagnostic services across X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, Dental Imaging and more.

In 2016, our Lakes Entrance site opened, improving access across the Gippsland Lakes region. In 2026, we opened our new purpose-built facility
in Bairnsdale, featuring modern equipment, expanded services and East Gippsland’s first independent MRI unit (coming soon). Throughout our
growth, we’ve remained proudly independent and driven by patient needs.
